Kate and I were classmates at Vassar and, 46 years ago this month, she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. Oh, La Belle Kate! We saw each other intermittently when she and Dick lived in NYC and White Plains but sadly did not keep in touch after that. I only learned of her much too early death when I picked up the latest issue of the VC Alumnae magazine. Thank heavens for Google which brought me to this web site, where I learned of her extraordinary life. Lesson learned: keep in touch with old friends. Gay Willcox Squire
