Charlie and Sally Magneson (Rebecca's grandparents) 7th September 2010

2007 - 2009 We are so happy to be able to add a few of our memories of such a lovely woman. Though Charlie and I only had the privilege of being with Kate a few times, each time was memorable and each meeting brought us a chance to appreciate a special part o her wonderful character. On a chilly, rainy day at a triathlon we attended with Kate for several hours, one in which Doug and Rebecca were participants, we were amazed and impressed at Kate's stamina and indomitable spirit as she painfully hobbled about with her cane in that inclement weather, never complaining and being thrilled with each part of the competition, the swim, bike ride and run. She exhibited so much pride and love for Doug and Becca also that day. What our family especially admired was Kate's courageous spirit and sense of fun when she visited our dairy farm and insisted in trying to milk a cow. She also wanted to taste fresh milk and our son Scott trying to squirt milk directly from the cows teat into her mouth, missed and splattered her face instead. We all laughed and Kate, most of all. Her willingness to try anything and her sense of humor endeared her to us all and she won our love and respect. We are so sorry she had to leave us all so soon but she left a heritage of a deep sense of values and we are certain those and her loving spirit will be carried on through her sons and will never die. With much love to all Kate's family and friends, from
